It all started with a swing bench.

Picture this: I had just packed up my life and moved a whopping 800 miles away from home after being abruptly spit out of college (we’re not going to say the 2020 word anymore). So there I was, a wide-eyed adult-in-training, stuck in a less-than-ideal rented room in someone else's place. Suffice it to say, I was in desperate need of some fresh air and a little escape from the chaos.

That's when my daily ritual took shape. After finishing up my work for the day, I would make my way to the waterfront, craving those moments of reflection and people-watching until darkness crept in and hid the world from view.

And guess what? I wasn't alone out there. Armed with nothing but a trusty notebook, I would perch myself on that old, rickety swing bench and let my pen dance across the pages until I couldn't make out the words anymore. I'd jot down snippets about the folks passing by, spin tales of daring pirates and magical wooden ships, and pour out my musings on that faithful bench.

As you can imagine, that special connection with the water's edge led me to create Dockside Stories. Sure, not all of my tales happen by the water, and I won't always be sitting on that dock, but the water—it's my muse, my inspiration, you know?

Now, here's the thing—I can't promise that everyone will fall head over heels for my stories. But that's not the point. This is my personal journey of bravery and self-expression, a place where I get to share the things that make my heart sing: writing, photography, and art.

And hey, if any of those passions strike a chord with you and you're feeling generous, I'd be over the moon if you wanted to support me. You could snag some of my prints, book a photography session, or even grab a custom BL Design.

Thanks for joining me on this wild ride. Let's see where it takes us, shall we?
